
Assistant Professor - Women's, Gender & Sexuality Studies
The Departments of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and Pan-African Studies at the University of Louisville invites applicants for a joint tenure-track position of Assistant Professor in early African American and Gender/Sexuality History, to begin August 1, 2021.
Preferred candidates will hold a PhD in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, African American Studies, History or a related field.
Candidates with experience in collaborative or community engaged research are highly desired, as are those with the ability to contribute to the LGBTQ Minor in WGST. Women, minorities, and other underrepresented groups are urged to apply.
The appointed scholar will hold a primary appointment in WGST and develop and teach introductory and advanced courses in WGST and PAS, including courses on history of feminisms and early African American history.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and includes a competitive benefits package.
