Mount St. Mary’s University (MSMU) is a comprehensive, coeducational, Catholic institution dedicated to liberal learning in the pursuit of truth. Founded in 1808, MSMU is the second oldest Catholic university in the country.

The university describes itself as “Catholic in a contemporary way.” It welcomes students of all faiths and prides itself on a diverse student body (32% minority students).

Located in Emmitsburg, Maryland, the university serves more than 2,000 undergraduate and graduate students at its two locations, promoting a holistic approach to the student experience and learning.
