Who we are (TCC)

Tacoma Community College is a public two-year institution that serves a population of over 14,000 richly diverse students, faculty, and staff. We emphasize creating meaningful and relevant learning, inspiring greater equity, and celebrating success in our lives and in our communities. We seek to recruit and retain a diverse workforce with intellectual curiosity who are passionate about working in a campus climate that promotes innovative teaching in a diverse learning environment with equitable access to educational achievement for all students.

Regional Setting

TCC is located in the greater Tacoma metropolitan area in the heart of Pierce County. It serves a fully diverse population of over 800,000 people and is surrounded by breathtaking ecosystems of snow-capped mountains, temperate rain forests, and vast ocean beaches. The residents of the Pacific Northwest are known for their commitment to environmental sustainability and personal fitness, with Seattle rated as the 8th healthiest city in America.
